Vision

Actionable Issues

Rebecca McCloud is committed to real solutions that strengthen our community. From ensuring public safety to driving economic growth and securing vital resources, she stands for policies that create lasting impact.

Issues

Economic Development

I will promote affordable housing, support small businesses with grants and incentives, and ensure transparency in development decisions through community engagement.

Mental Health

I’m committed to securing more funding for public health resources, including substance use programs and recovery services, to reduce drug overdoses in St. Louis. I fully support our immediate access intake center and welcome organizations focused on behavioral health and addiction recovery, redefining public safety.

Infrastructure

I will prioritize road improvements, public transit upgrades, broadband expansion, and sustainable development while securing funding from state and federal sources.

Better Food Systems
Agriculture plays a vital role to sustaining communities. I will help reduce the prevalence of food insecurity and its defect on the communities. Every neighborhood should have a full grocer accessible to their residents within the 11th Ward. I will collaborate with local farmers and small confectionery stores to enhance a better selection of a healthier food choice.

About

Rebecca McCloud

Rebecca McCloud is a proud native of St. Louis with deep roots in the community, growing up in the Pamplin and West Florissant areas before transitioning to the Shaw neighborhood. A graduate of South Technical High School, Rebecca furthered her education at Florissant Valley Community College, studying Accounting and Communications. As a mother of six—two of whom serve in the military—she believes in the importance of wealth-building and community development.

Rebecca’s journey began with a strong spiritual foundation at Sonlight MB Church, where she started working as a missionary. Her dedication to community outreach grew as she volunteered in Washington Park, Illinois, leading efforts to “Make a Difference By Being Different” and “Reach One, Teach One.”

In 2010, Rebecca became a single mother, earning her Producer and P&C license and launching her professional career. She worked her way up from a mail clerk at State Farm Insurance to Assistant Supervisor for The Family Security Plan, where she focused on spreading financial literacy and helping families build wealth.

Her passion for service was honed while working at her family’s confectionary store, where she developed a strong sense of servitude and witnessed firsthand the challenges facing many in her community. These experiences fueled her commitment to finding solutions for the struggles surrounding mental illness, crime, and living conditions in St. Louis. Rebecca McCloud is driven to create lasting change by empowering individuals and building stronger, more resilient communities.

Mission & Values
